福井県と沿線市町の首長らで構成する中部縦貫自動車道建設促進福井県協議会（会長＝西川一誠福井県知事）は先月９日、国土交通省や自由民主党を訪問し、中部縦貫自動車道の早期整備に関する要望活動を実施した。
会長の西川知事をはじめ、仲倉典克県議会議長と山岸猛夫県議会議員、岡田高大大野市長、山岸正裕勝山市長、河合永充永平寺町長ら７人の要望団は、国交省の青木一彦大臣政務官や自民党の稲田朋美政務調査会長らと面談。西川知事は、昨年開通した舞鶴若狭自動車道において、観光入込数の増加や企業進出による雇用拡大、災害時の代替道路としての役割など、既に多くのストック効果が発揮されていることを報告。
要望書には、大野油坂道路（延長35㌔）を北陸新幹線の敦賀開業にあわせ22年度までに全線開通、永平寺大野道路・永平寺～上志比間（延長５．３㌔）の早期開通、整備促進に必要な予算の確保。そのほか、沿線に多目的機能を備えた休憩施設の整備などが盛り込んだ。
これに対し、青木政務官らは「早期開通に向け予算の確保が重要。早期整備ができるよう一緒に頑張りたい」と述べた。
