今年７月、開通30周年を迎える北陸道と、新潟県の高速道路が初開通から40周年を迎えることを記念し、ＮＥＸＣＯ東日本新潟支社は17日、長岡リバーサイド千秋コートで、「Ｗでメモリアル！北陸道応援大使と語る北陸道」を開催した。先月３日、「北陸道応援大使」に就任した新潟発のアイドルユニット「Ｎｅｇｉｃｃｏ」参加のもと、２つの「周年ロゴ」がお披露目されたほか、周年に関わる様々なイベント予定が紹介された。
ロゴのデザインは、提案のあった２種類から社内投票で決定。『新潟県内に橋をかけるような県内高速道路』と『新潟県を越えて広がる架け橋』、この２つのイメージを新潟県の形をしたアーチで表現している。
続いて、北陸道応援大使」の「Ｎｅｇｉｃｃｏ」が高速道路ソング「グッディ ユア ライフ」の歌を披露したほか、トークショーにも参加し、「東京でライブがある時などは、高速道路を毎週利用している」と話し、米山ＳＡ（上）の新潟南蛮えび煎餅や黒埼ＰＡ（上）の黄金桃パウンドケーキ」などＳＡのおすすめ商品についても話した。
同支社では今後、７月下旬～８月上旬に新潟物産イベントＩＮＰａｓａｒ三芳、９月中旬にお客さま感謝イベントＩＮデンカビッグスワン、10月上旬は周年記念イベントＩＮ名立谷浜を開催する予定。
